Battle Astra

Battle Astra was the world’s first decentralized comic book app. It enabled audiences to write, ideate, and vote on a never-ending decentralized story. To incentivize users to create and tokenize more intellectual property, the app placed control in their hands. Users voted on the story’s direction, fostering a collaborative creator ecosystem where users served as writers, readers, owners, and promoters of the comic book. Battle Astra aimed to introduce millions of new participants to Web3, promoting financial inclusion and the use of virtual assets.

Battle Astra taught me the Importance of Team Management. At our peak, we had reached a Team Size of 30. Other than that, majority of the learnings was on creating concrete blockchain protocols and vesting schedules.

Motivation

The biggest problem in Web3 at the time was mass adoption. Web3 needed a method to attract the masses into it.

Objective

We aimed to create entertainment that brought millions of people into web3. And what better way than doing it in the decentralized style of web3?

Outcome

Battle Astra managed to get a lot of attention in web3 media! We were featured in 15+ News websites, Created a community of over 1000 People!
